Tutorial - Tight Tanks
What is a tight tank?
A tight tank is a water-tight tank that receives wastewater flow from the facility (house, business, property, etc.), but does not release any wastewater out of the tank or into the ground. The wastewater is stored in the tank until the liquid reaches an alarm level. The alarm signals that the tank is full, and must be pumped.
Because they have the advantage of holding all wastewater, tight tanks are sometimes the only option for properties in environmentally sensitive areas.
